There is an old sign that use to hang in my Mom’s kitchen. It read:
“if Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.”
While I believe it is biblical that my husband is the leader of our household, I am the maintainer. I am the one who controls the mood & attitude of our household. It is my ‘workplace’ and during the day when my husband is gone, I’m kind of like “the boss” if you will, or the gatekeeper or better yet the Queen of my palace. :0)
I want, more than anything, to have a joyful ‘workplace’
so…
Today I am choosing, to bring joy to my household.
Today I am choosing, to stop the complaining.
Today I am choosing, no matter the circumstances,
To work joyfully, not for men or myself but for the Lord.
Today I am choosing, to stop the complaining.
Today I am choosing, no matter the circumstances,
To work joyfully, not for men or myself but for the Lord.
Because…
While I’m folding laundry, training my children, or
scrubbing toilets . . . I with a joyful attitude can bring glory to the Lord!
And I think that’s rather awesome!
May He get all the glory, may my husband, children and others around me… see the Lord’s love and grace while I choose to happily serve and love them.
“ Do every little thing you do, to the glory of the one who made you, cause he made you, to do everything little thing that you do, to bring a smile to His face, and to tell the story of His grace. With every move that you make, with every little thing you do.” –Do Everything
{song} by Steven Curtis Chapman
“Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,
do all to the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31
