A sweet note to my cherished readers and fellow blogging sisters. Before you read another blog post, sit to write another article, check that social media site or {enter your “time stealer struggle” here} ask yourself these questions:
- Have you spent time with the Lord today, in prayer and bible reading?
- Have you yet prettied yourself up, for your long day of hard work in the home?
- Do you have household responsibilities that have yet to be met?
- Have your children been fed a good breakfast? Is your husband in need of a pair of clean socks?
- Have your children been cuddled, or kissed?
- Do you have a plan for dinner tonight?
- Is your floor in desperate need of the vacuum?”
- Is your sink full of dishes?
- Are you struggling to have a gentle and quiet spirit?
- Do you lovingly honor and submit to your husband?
- Have you laughed with your little ones?
- Have you let the sun shine on your face?
- Have you invited that neighbor over for that cup of tea or coffee?
- Have you texted your husband an “I love you” note just because?
- Have you listened – I mean really listened to your toddlers questions?
- Have you taken the time to answer them?
- Have you hugged your older child(ren) just because?
- Have you shared or spread smiles today?
- Have you encouraged and uplifted your man?
- Has kindness been on your tongue?
- Have you asked for forgiveness? Do you have a clean and clear conscience?
- Have you winked across the room at your handsome sweetheart?
- Have you sat outside while your children played, just to listen to them laugh?
- Have you looked up at the sky just to say thank you, Lord for ALL my blessings & trials?
- If you answered ‘no’ to any of these questions – please, let me kindly and lovingly remind you that we are imperfect,
and weak, daily in need of Jesus and His amazing grace.
{And it doesn’t hurt to have a few good friends to help us keep our priorities in-line either!} ::wink::
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16
Cherish each moment, before they are gone! Live life friends. And live it well. Take captive the precious time the Lord has given you. Your life is precious, and so are the moments in between.
Enjoy the blessing of breathing, friend!
