“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8

I’m learning to train my eyes, my heart and mind to look for the beautiful things. Philippians 4:8. Keeping my mind focused on the Lord

So through a heart, seeking that which is good – I’ve started giving thanks once again in 2014. It’s in giving thanks, I’m finding beauty. Beauty that makes my soul want to sing of His unfailing, unwavering goodness and grace. I’d love for you to join me in counting our blessings!

{the sweet & simple blessings of life}
for which I am forever grateful. | March 2014

“I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.” Psalm 13:6

1st:  For what seems to be an never ending winter. {Another large snowfall.} Because there is hope and encouragement that spring will come sooner than later.

2nd: For the gift of laughter! Humor is an amazing thing. It’s a tension dissolver. It’s an antidote to
anxiety. It’s just like a tranquilizer, but without any troublesome
side effects. And it’s free! You don’t even need a prescription.” – Rick Warren

3rd: The feeling you get when your floors are clean. Both physically and emotionally.

4th: The continued nightly reads with my husband and I. Truly blessed!

5th: Remembering I am part of HIS hands and feet. Live it daily.

6th: Receiving an email that brings great joy & excitement! #Tearstomyeyes.

7th: How God opens doors when we least expect it.

8th: The initial jitters you get when new things are about to happen.

9th: For amazing weather after a very, very, very, very long winter.

10th: For last minute visits with my Dad, Mom & Siblings. #thesemomentsraresrare&sweet

11th: For sleepless nights, that remind me of all the great nights of sleep I am blessed with.

12th: For moments I can sit and compose a blog post. The moments are rare, but are cherished. I could fill the next few months of regular and continual posts. But, I’m human, I’m a Wife, and Momma. Those posts in my head will have to wait for another day, for now I’ll be cleaning up messes, throw in another load of dirty underwear & socks, wash another gooey little hand, and will continue receiving my pay – sticky little kisses from my little ones & a hug from my older ones. :0) Yea, life is grand being a Momma.
13th: How the Lord opens doors in His own PERFECT timing. <3

14th: Having the ability to keep secrets even when excitement almost makes you burst at the seems. ;0)

15th:
For a break in the weather, and the itching to get outdoors and work in the flower beds and also find time for fun!

16th: For smiles 🙂

17th: My husbands hugs on the days I need it most.

18th: The moment you see your child “get it.”

19th: Seeing the evidence the Lord is working in and through our lives.

20th: breaks from long days.

21st: Celebrating Grandma’s life, and because of hope we know we’ll see here again.

22nd: For being home in the comfort of our very own beds.

23rd: Knowing this snow, won’t last forever. One day soon – spring WILL show forth it’s beauty!

24th: Creating a project and finding it comes together better than originally planned.

25th: For the times I have working appliances. Even though my dryer is broken, I can be thankful for my washer, for the bodies that feel these clothes etc…

26th: There are more lovely days than there are bad ones.

27th: For complete healing! The 2 extra large cysts have been confirmed GONE. Praise the LORD!

28th: Celebrating and reminiscing becoming a Mommy 11 years ago for the first time. For a daughter with a sweet spirit who loves Jesus, genuinely loves people and has a servants heart. <3

29th: For days of sickness. They always make me remember how thankful I am for my every day health!

30th: Counting down to special and exciting days. ;0)

31st: Another celebration – another birthday! Blessed to have our little man in our lives. So healthy and full of life! So blessed.

“Never
lose an opportunity for seeing anything that is beautiful; For beauty
is God’s handwriting–Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky,
in every fair flower, And thank God for it as a cup of His blessing.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
