Rachel Busenitz {the oldest child of the Wissman family} and now married, contacted me to help spread the word about her family’s music ministry and new CD for Children. I’ve actually heard of “The Wissman Family.” They’ve had concerts at different Church’s near and around our area. I’ve heard they are wonderful, though I’ve not yet had the opportunity to hear them in person, but was thrilled to help spread the word!The CD arrived in the mail just a couple days before our family vacation. We had a long 4 days of driving; and I new this would be something fun to listen to while we drove. I couldn’t help but open the CD before the trip. The cover was absolutely adorable and eye catching – I just couldn’t wait!
So in the CD went into the player. The kids and I just fell in LOVE with the music instantly! We decided it was still very worthy to take along our long trip with us. ;0) And we couldn’t wait to play it again in the van.
Rachel wrote the music and the lyrics to these absolutely gorgeous songs; on their first album solely for children, called ‘My Heart Your Home’. Rachel’s younger siblings and a few children from the Stangle family join together as they sing and play 16 different instruments on this album. Their voices are clear and vibrant and their musical talents sound just beautiful together.

We loved that this music was:
- Chock full of scripture. No fluff or frills but biblical truth all through out, and it was FUN!
- The music was catchy, upbeat, and easy to sing along with.
- A lot of the music had a bluegrass, homespun kind of feel to them. {Frequently heard are the dulcimer and the banjo {two of my favorite instruments!}
Our trip was packed full of the Wissman Families worshipful music. We all learned some great new songs, that we were able to keep Mommy, Daddy and the Munchkins busy while keeping our minds focused on the Lord while we traveled.One we kept singing over and over {including our 3 year old} was ‘Alpha and Omega’ My two favorites were ‘He is Faithful’ and ‘Stand for Truth’ both prayers of my heart that my children will follow after, with hearts full of passion for Jesus.
